Hello friends and happy almost Christmas! It has been a little crazy over here and if you follow on instagram you know I've been busy traveling and shooting lots of pretties.  I look forward to catching up on the blog as the sessions slow down a bit and everyone takes some much needed time off.  One session I wanted to share with you now is an adorable at home session that will get you in the festive spirit even more.  This past weekend, I got to shoot Britt and Ren in their festive home that had such gorgeous light and details I felt like a kid in a candy store ;)   They were so cute together along with their adorable pup, Birdie.  Enjoy!

Athens Engagement Photographer | Anna Lynn and Raleigh

I spent Sunday afternoon in Athens with the cutest and sweetest couple ever, Anna Lynn and Raleigh.  You may remember them from the proposal that I captured back in November.  I loved shooting their engagement photos and being able to capture their happiness and the love that my sister and future brother-in-law have for each other.  To say it was an honor is an understatement.  We started at Hall Street, where they met in college, because yes, they lived down the street from each other (!!!).   They walked down the street towards Raleigh's old house holding hands, remembering that that very location was where they first ever held hands.  I know, cuteness overload.  Then, we headed downtown for a little coffee and exploration of our favorite small town downtown.   We also ventured over to the beautiful Founders Memorial Garden, before ending the session in a gorgeous sun drenched field.  It was such a fun afternoon and session -  now, bring on the wedding!

Shooting proposals is always really exciting for me; and let's be honest - completely nerve racking too!  I love talking with the groom-to-be and planning everything out and then anxiously awaiting for this sweet moment in time where their two lives will change forever.  The promise of the future and the joy of starting a new adventure together is such an honor to capture.  Over Thanksgiving, I had the privilege of getting to shoot another proposal.  This one was definitely extra special since it was for my sister and her about to be fiancé! When Raleigh came to Atlanta and told us that he was going to propose, I of course was ecstatic and so overwhelmed with joy for him and my sister.  We were all going to be in Tampa with our family for Thanksgiving, so the timing was going to be perfect.  Being the photographer in the family, I figured I would be getting to take some pictures, but I was so excited when Raleigh asked me to photograph the actual proposal.  I don't think either of us slept much the night before he popped the question! I'm so thankful that she didn't see me in the bushes and down on the shore and that I was able to capture these beauties.  Looking forward to taking their engagement photos soon!
