Happy Easter, friends! We took advantage of the beautiful light that was pouring in our living room yesterday on the drizzly Saturday and snapped a few new portraits of our sweet Penny pup. This weekend has been so nice and slow and filled with lots of quality time together; just what we needed! After church this morning, we celebrated with a yummy brunch with friends. It was pretty perfect. Hope you are having a wonderful Easter weekend as well.
Atlanta Wedding Photographer | Lauren + Andrew
A few weeks ago, I got to shoot with my good friend Paige Jones and capture Lauren and Andrew's wedding. The wedding was so beautiful and the couple was a dream to work with. They were so laid back and it made for a really fun afternoon and evening capturing their ceremony at Grace Midtown and then reception at Monday Night Brewing. We also got to go to an awesome parking deck and get some killer shots with some of the Midtown high rises. Be sure to check out more from the wedding here. Thank you Lauren and Andrew for being amazing to work with and thank you Paige for having me join you!
Atlanta Newborn and Family Photographer | Baby Tessa
I have been shooting a lot of newborn sessions lately and I am loving the sweetness and the detail that come with these types of portraits. Newborns allow me to take my time and focus on those precious details with my macro lens and really capture the wonderful emotions that come with a new life. However, we always have a few good outtakes between capturing the photos that make your heart swoon, because lets be honest, newborns can definitely be a challenge! But when the mom and I finally get the baby back to sleep and the stars aline, a little piece of heaven is captured and it is so rewarding. It is always such an honor to be the first professional to capture the little one's portraits and my hope is that my photographs will be treasured for years to come. I have loved watching my newborn clients grow up over the years and I look forward to taking this little girl's photos throughout the first year of her life. Below are a few favorites from sweet Tessa's newborn session a couple weeks ago. I just can't get over her lashes in the first shot below. So pretty! Hope you enjoy.
Atlanta Fashion Photographer | Hearts of Style Spring Shoot
I recently shot Hearts of Style's spring looks and some fun photos for their branding. HOS owner, Savannah Boyd, is a good friend of mine and I love coming alongside female entrepreneurs and helping brand and visually tell their company's story. Savannah and her assistant Ryn have a passion for making women (and men) feel and look their very best. They are dedicated to their clients and have fun along the way with Savannah's newest addition to HOS in tow, bringing smiles to everyone he meets! Hearts of Style offers personal shopping, wardrobe consultations, and closet auditing/organizing. Enjoy some of my favorites from our shoot.
Photo of the Week | CAMP Spring Supper
Last Thursday I had the privilege of shooting CAMP's Spring Supper at Sun In My Belly. It was a wonderful evening put on by some of Atlanta's best creatives. I had such a great time hanging out with friends and meeting so many great new people. Lots more to come. Floral design by the lovely Martha McIntosh
Atlanta Event Photographer | Homespun Dinner
A few months ago, I had the privilege of attending and photographing one of the monthly Homespun suppers. Jason and Jamie are some of the sweetest new friends I have made in Atlanta. The Homespun motto of Simple Wholesome Authentic was carried out throughout the evening. The food was to-die-for good and the community and experience was perfect. After mingling over yummy grilled cheese bites, we sat down to dinner, put our cell phones in a collective bowl, and began getting to know the new friends at the table. It was so nice just to unplug and enjoy a delicious meal. Watching Jason and Jamie throughout the night, it is so evident of how perfect they are for each other. It was so sweet to watch Jamie help Jason cook this meal and prepare this wonderful environment. Jamie even designed all of the paper goods! I know, a perfect match. You can see more of her beautiful work at Julia's Poppies Designs. Be sure to check Homespun out if you haven't already and sign up for one of their suppers! You can see more photos here.
